Unemployment

So I got my first job a couple months ago. It was for a department store and it was a lot of work. I spent the first couple of days in training and it was kinda boring. They would spend the first couple of hours making us watch these videos about the different policies and the last hour or two we would be on the floor. It was a lot more walking than I thought it would be but once you were working on the floor, time just flies by. So once we finished training. I was officially an employee. But then...... I never got called in or called in general. I kept going over the last thing they said

"We'll call you when we get your schedule."

One week went by.

Nothing.

Two weeks went by.

Nada.

Three weeks went by.

Zilch.

I was about to enter the fourth week when I got a letter. It said if I didn't work any hours in the next 30 days, I would be fired. I was a little confused at first because I was told to wait for my schedule and thats exactly what I did. So I called the store after I showed the letter to my mom. I asked for the HR lady because not only is she the one who hired me, she was also the only person I knew...

They couldn't get a hold of her.

So I decided to wait until the next day.

She wasn't working.

So I called the day after that.

She wasn't in YET.... It turns out that she comes in later so I decided to wait until she got there and call again.

Then right as I was about to call, mom came home. She brought a letter from the store. All I could think was "This is probably my schedule."
It wasn't. It was from the store and it had the word "Terminated"..... *Sigh* I never knew what happened or why I didn't get my schedule but I took a vow to never (and I say NEVER ) shop there ever again.

Anyways its been 6 months since then and I've had no luck getting another job......

Being an adult sucks.
